Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education or related field with a valid Georgia teaching or service certificate
- Ability to relate well to students, parents, and co-workers
JOB GOAL: To leverage strong communication and problem solving skills to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for Foothills program students focusing on positive relationships and academic success while working with the students' resident district.
DUTIES:
- Monitor program student progress and share with appropriate site and regional staff.
- Collaborate with other staff members (e.g., teachers, SWD Leads, student services, etc.) to understand the barriers each program student is facing and the interventions being used to address them.
- Prepare bi-weekly program student updates for each resident district that includes their student’s progress and intervention efforts.
- Share critical information with resident district liaisons (e.g., behavior referrals, social worker interventions, etc.) to ensure effective communication.
- Bi-monthly receive drop-out reports from Resident Districts and contact students to invite them to consider Foothills as an option to continue their education.
- Contact potential students using the quarterly dropout lists provided to Foothills by resident districts.
- Coordinate with regional staff to ensure that program students follow the requirements set by resident districts.
- Other duties as assigned.
